Founded in 1942, the UC Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is transforming behavioral health care through basic, clinical and translational research programs.    Our vision is to be leaders in advancing the understanding and treatment of psychiatric disorders.

Residency & Fellowships

The department has a long history of training residents in psychiatry, dating back to 1930. We offer three residency programs, five post-residency fellowships, medical student education and continuing education for practicing physicians. Additionally, we offer outstanding training opportunities for post-graduates in neuroscience research.
