The College of Medicine has a robust research program with funding from NIH and other federal agencies, foundations, biotech firms, clinical trials, and disease-based sponsors. The FY 2022 annual funding for the College totaled $134M. Trainees in the
College participate in research through the 15 doctoral programs. Our research holdings contribute significantly to the classification of the University as a Research 1 institution, indicating the highest level of research activity.
