Dermatopathology

The dermatopathology rotation provides exposure to a high volume service (150-250 specimens per day) with great diversity. During the morning, residents participate in sign out at the multi-headed microscope alongside faculty and dermatology residents. The afternoon is reserved for didactic sessions, unknown sessions, and self-directed learning. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the numerous study slide sets available. Residents have the opportunity to attend any of the clinical dermatology didactic sessions that occur during the rotation, including Dermatology Grand Rounds (which allows for excellent clinicopathologic correlation).
