How to Apply

Online Application Process

To apply to our program, please use the University of Cincinnati Graduate College Online Application portal.

Select "Fall 2024 through Summer 2025" Graduate Programs.  Be sure to select the College of Medicine and the Applied Pharmacology & Drug Toxicology Master's Program.

Required Materials

Please include the following in your application:

  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal Statement (1-page) describing how a MS degree in Pharmacology & Drug Toxicology degree from UC aligns with your career goals
  • Unofficial transcript(s) from each college or university attended (official transcripts will be requested at a later date). If you have any questions or if your degree was granted in China, please view the Official Transcript Submission Policy.
  • Reference letter(s) (2) from current or former professors/employers. A dossier service may be used.
  • Video (optional) If you choose not to submit a video it will not impact your application.
  • Official TOEFL score (for international applicants) If submitting a TOEFL score please use University/Institutional Code 1833. The program requires a TOEFL iBT score of 90 or better.
  • Official GRE or MCAT scores (optional). If submitting a GRE score please use University/Institutional Code 1833. A department code is not required. (GRE currently waived; however, MCAT highly recommended for Gap Year Track).  Questions? Contact Dr. Hobbing, for more details)

Tuition and Fees

All tuition, fees, and living expenses are the responsibility of the student and/or his or her sponsor. US citizens or permanent students who need financial aid may seek student loans. A special tuition rate of $12,312 (resident) and $12,822 (non-resident) per semester was approved for this special fees program for the 2021-22 academic year. Additional fees will be assessed by the University each semester and are subject to change each academic year (General Fee-$398; Campus Life Fee-$257; ITIE Fee-$184). There is a $65 application fee ($70 for international applicants).

Health Insurance:

Full-time students taking six or more credit hours are eligible for health insurance coverage and will be automatically charged unless they have previously waived coverage during the current academic year.
