The University of Cincinnati’s (UC) interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science in Public Health pulls expertise from our renowned faculty representing a range of public health and social science colleges to provide innovative curricula that focus on key aspects of preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting health through the organized efforts and informed choices of society, organizations, communities and individuals.
This unique interdisciplinary program, offering both major and minor tracks of study, offers a versatile education that examines emerging issues in public health, the social and behavioral aspects of preventing disease, environmental health concepts, the changing U.S. healthcare system, and the monitoring of diseases in the community. The interdisciplinary Public Health program is a collaboration of multiple colleges at UC, working together to develop high quality public health professionals that will be able to work with communities, organizations and individuals to protect, maintain and enhance quality of life. Students can begin their studies at one of our regional colleges and transition into the four-year program track to complete their degree. Beginning in Fall 2023, students can choose to concentrate in either Health Promotion and Education or Global Health.

Expert faculty from the College of Medicine, College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services, College of Allied Health Sciences, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Design Architecture, Art and Planning create a diverse offering of electives to provide a multi-disciplinary curriculum. The public health program includes two and four-year tracks of study. UC has many post-graduate health-related programs to customize a personal academic plan to meet your goals.
