About the Program

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, in conjunction with University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Cincinnati Veteran's Medical Center, offers a comprehensive two-year ACGME-accredited training program in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (CCEP).

The CCEP fellowship program at the University of Cincinnati orginated in 2010 as a one-year fellowship program.  In 2014, the CCEP fellowship developed a comprehensive second year of training in electrophysiology, prior to ACGME and ABIM requirement in 2017.

Clinical training at the University of Cincinnati's CCEP fellowship follows the recommendations outlined in the 2015 ACC/AHA/HRS Advanced Training Statement on Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology COCATS 4 Task Force 11: Training in Arrhythmia Diagnosis and Management, Cardiac Pacing, and Electrophysiology. The program at the University of Cincinnati provide's the education necessary to reach COCATS Level III training which is required of individuals seeking subspecialty board certification in CCEP ABIM CCEP Training Board Eligibilty Requirements.

Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Leadership

Srinivas Rajsheker, MD is the Program Director of the University of Cincinnati's CCEP fellowship program.

Dr. Rajsheker is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology in the Division of Cardiovascular Health and Disease.  Dr. Rajsheker is boarded certified in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiovascular Disease.  Dr. Rajsheker completed both his cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology training at the University of Cincinnati.  Dr. Rajsheker served as Chief Fellow during his cardiovascular disease training.

Since the start of his academic appointment, Dr. Rajsheker has been involved in the education of both cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellows, along with residents and medical students.
