Second part of the 2026 Midwest Regional ERC Symposium - Saturday tour of the Ford Rouge Factory
On March 27, 2026, the University of Michigan hosted the annual Midwest Regional Education and Research Center (ERC) Symposium in Ann Arbor.
A recent trip to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical gardens offered students, staff, and faculty from the Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences (DEPHS) a chance to step outside Kettering and see their studies in a real-world setting. This immersive learning experience is connected to core concepts in environmental health, occupational safety and health, and infectious disease.
The 2026 Ohio Safety Congress and Expo was a great opportunity to connect with the occupational health and safety community and share work happening through the University of Cincinnati Education and Research Center. The University of Cincinnati had various expo booths, speaker sessions, and poster presentations.
There were presentations consisting of workshop group projects, students presenting results from their Target Research Training Program (TRT) research, and students presenting their Pilot Research Project (PRP) plans.
