Research Interests

My research interest over the past 20 years has focused on endocytosis, i.e. the binding, internalization, and intracellular routing of ligands by eucaryotic cells. To monitor these events my colleagues and I have employed a variety of techniques, both biochemical and morphological. My forte is electron microscopy; more specifically, I use immunohistochemical techniques at the ultrastructural level toanswer questions central to cell biology.One of the 2 systems in which I am interested is the interaction ...
