Research Interests

My lab studies protein-protein interactions involved in receptor signaling and bacterial pathogenesis. We use x-ray crystallography to solve the three-dimensional atomic structures of interesting proteins, combined with techniques of biophysical chemistry to understand their interactions in solution. In particular, we use analytical ultracentrifugation, calorimetry, and surface plasmon resonance to study binding and complex formation.
