Amit Bhattacharya

Amit Bhattacharya
Professor Amit Bhattacharya, Ph.D., CPE, is trained in the field of mechanical engineering with specialization in biomedical engineering and stress physiology. Dr. Bhattacharya’s research activities since 1971 involved projects with multidisciplinary approaches. A majority of his research activities involved collaborative projects (as P.I. or as Co-Investigator) with researchers having a wide range of expertise such as, biomechanics, engineering, medicine, physiology (human and animal), epidemiology, toxicologist, neuropsychologist and genetics.

Daryl Daniels

Daryl A. Daniels
Daryl Daniels CSP, CIT, is a Safety Professional and Industrial Hygienist with over 30 years of field work and management experience. Daryl has worked in the Aerospace Industry at the Kennedy Space Center for Lockheed Space Operations, he has worked in Chemical Manufacturing, in the Electric Generation and Transmission industry, in the Automotive industry, and in the Public Sector. Daryl is also the founder and president of CSP Safe LLC. Daryl’s work experience include Auditing, Chemical Exposure Assessments, Management Systems Development, Programs and Procedures Development, and Training.

Kermit Davis

Kermit Davis
Associate Professor Kermit Davis, Ph.D., CPE, was trained in Industrial Engineering with specialization in occupational ergonomics and low back biomechanics with special interest in multiple exposures, both physical and psychosocial stressors. Recently, many of his research projects have evaluated healthcare products with a focus on caregiver and patient ergonomics.

West Davis

West Davis
West Davis has been an educator for the past 16 years at the high school level and the past seven years at the college level. Before entering the teaching field, West spent 25 years in the plumbing industry as a technician and entrepreneur. West holds an Associate’s degree in Building Technologies from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and is an authorized trainer for OSHA and a master trainer for NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research). West is a registered provider of license renewal services for the state of Ohio Division of Compliance for the construction trades.

Don Dudley

Don Dudley
Prior to joining the staff at the Center Don worked in the glass manufacturing industry. He has been a member of the American Flint Glass Workers Union for 25 years. During that time he held the positions of Division Chairperson, Safety Chairperson, Vice President and President of Local 700. Don served on the Toledo AFL-CIO Executive Board. He is dedicated to membership safety through training both at the Center and in the field. The National Labor College chose Don's paper entitled "Workers Training Workers" to be presented at 132nd Annual Meeting of the American Public Health Association (APHA) held in Washington DC in November 2004. In March 2010 Don assumed the duties of OSHA/DOT Coordinator.

Michael Hayslip

Michael Hayslip
Mike is a national speaker, published author, adjunct professor, Arbitrator and Mediator; Mike has serves on ANSI A10. He is a prior Board member and Vice President of the American Society of Safety Engineers (Region VII); and been appointed nationally to OSHA’s Advisory Council on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH).

Michael is President and CEO of NESTI Inc. since 1996 an OSHA and ANSI based safety training, mentoring and litigation support firm headquartered in Dayton Ohio.

Michael holds numerous Safety Professional of the Year awards from the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) on the local, state, regional and national levels.

Mary Malotke

Mary Malotke
Mary Malotke has over 42 years of environmental engineering and management experience, both as environmental manager for Procter & Gamble and for the past 28 years as president of TENCON, Inc. Ms. Malotke is highly regarded as a trainer in the fields of environmental and occupational safety and health.

Keith Mundy

Keith Mundy
Keith worked for Red Spot Paint and Varnish in Evansville Indiana. He was an active member of ICWUC Local 833 for over 12 years. While a member of the local he held several leadership positions within the local. Keith was a member of two negotiating committees, Recording Secretary for over four years and Vice President for three years. Keith served on the plant safety committee for 8 years, serving as its chair for six years. In January of 2000, after attending the initial training Keith became a worker trainer for the Center. He was hired as a full time staff instructor in January 2006 and is currently the Field Training Coordinator.

Dave Ponder

Dave Ponder
Dave Ponder, CSP, CHST, is the Health and Safety Director for Sunesis Construction Co. Mr. Ponder has over eighteen years in the health and safety field beginning with the US Navy Seabees. During which he progressed from the rank of Constructionman to Petty Officer First Class. While serving, he oversaw the health and safety for multiple projects that he managed. After leaving the military Mr. Ponder moved on to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration where he was a Compliance Safety and Health Officer in the Cincinnati Area Office for eight years. While with OSHA he conducted over 500 inspections of project sites, twenty of which were fatality investigations.

Tim Roberts

Tim Roberts
Timothy Roberts, CSMP, COSM, is an international speaker, author, trainer and one of the leading authorities in the field of occupational safety. His expertise includes over 35 years of experience in industrial and construction safety and over 20 years in disaster management.

Mr. Roberts has appeared on TV, has been a keynote speaker and instructor for Fortune 500 companies (General Motors, Kroger, Syngenta, Volkswagen, Veolia, Honda, Bovis, and Turner Construction), national trade associations, professional organizations, universities, and foreign governments.

He is founder and president of Safety Alliance LLC. The first safety consulting company in the United States to receive the OSHA’s “VPP” star status and has conducted over 100,000 hours training worldwide.

Jim Romine

Jim Romine
Mr. Romine is a senior industrial hygienist and hazardous waste specialist with 37 years of industrial hygiene, indoor air quality (including mold and other bioaerosol) investigations, occupational safety and health compliance and support, emergency response, training, and management experience. He has managed more than 200 projects ranging from hazardous waste site assessments to industrial hygiene surveys, asbestos evaluation, abatement and remediation, mold assessment and remediation, lead-based paint assessments and abatement, job safety and hazard analyses, chemical safety audits, and training course development and presentation. He also serves as an expert witness in industrial hygiene litigation. In addition, he teaches OSHA courses and industrial hygiene courses. He also provides hazardous materials manager, and certified and associate safety professional review courses at the University of Cincinnati.

Glenn Talaska

Glenn Talaska
Professor Glenn Talaska, Ph.D., CIH, has a background in industrial hygiene, genetic toxicology, and carcinogenesis. His research is related to biological monitoring, chemical carcinogens and includes DNA adduct analysis, cytogenetics and metabolite analysis. He is the Vice Chair of the ACGIH Biological Exposure Indices Committee.
