Transgenic Mice & Breeding Core

The objectives of this facility are to provide consultation and technical services to UC researchers in the design, construction and breeding of genetically engineered mice. Embryonic stem (ES) cell-based knock-out, knock-in, conditional knockout and subtle mutation technology, as well as blastocyst microinjection and transgenic technology through DNA microinjection, are available through the core.
