Research Grants & Contracts

The research group is self-supporting. The salaries for faculty, visiting scientists and graduate students are paid primarily from external research funds (the annual budget exceeds $1 Million). Supporting agencies are or have recently been the US Department of Defense, US Department of Homeland Security, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, US Environmental Protection Agency, National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, National Institute for Standards and Technology, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Center for Indoor Air Research, Exxon Mobil, Eli Lilly and Company, Cardinal Health, S.C. Johnson Wax Company, 3M Company, and others.

The core faculty members of the Center have also served as consultants to several US governmental agencies, national and international professional associations as well as to various companies and research institutions.
