Service Fees

Service fees are based on the number of blastocysts injected/implanted which takes at least four sessions of injections. Most of the cost is determined by this procedure. Our experience has shown that four sessions of injection resulting in at least 200 injected blastocysts implanted into surrogate mothers should produce at least 10 male chimeras to test. This is a base line number. Because of the great variation in quality of ES cells used for targeting, it may take more than the initial four sessions at additional cost. Injection of targeted cells into blastocysts and subsequent development of chimeric mice does not guarantee a mouse carrying the targeted gene in the germline will be developed.

Four sessions of injection of targeted ES cells into mouse blastocysts yielding at least 200 injected blastocysts being implanted into surrogate mothers for the production of chimeric, germline gene altered mice.

Academic, non-profit institutions $5,800.

Minus chimera testing $4,500.

Miscellaneous Charges

Extra Mouse Housing (after second chimera litter) $11/month per mouse

Shipping is the based of current shipping rates plus $31 per box.
