BIOSTATISTICS CORE

The goal of the Biostatistics Core Project is to serve individual research projects by providing statistical consulting and by providing informal training on principles of the experimental design and statistical methods through interactions with the program trainees. Research projects in this proposal are likely to require statistical assistance in designing experiments and the statistical analysis of experimental data. In this respect, Biostatistics Core members will assist researchers in choosing the appropriate experimental design, including the sample size, and in choosing the appropriate statistical model for analyzing generated experimental data. The core will also facilitate statistical analysis of the data by both performing analyses and by advising researchers on how to perform appropriate analyses. Finally, Biosatistics Core will facilitate interactions between program projects and other Biostatistics and Bioinformatics resources within the University of Cincinnati.
