Resmi is a graduate from St. Xaviers College in Mapusa, Goa, India. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbology and a Masters degree in Marine sciences. She is currently rotating through Dr. Abdel-Malek’s lab. ![]() Chang Xiao
Chang is a graduate from the Zhongshan University of Medical Science and Guangzhou Medical College in China. She holds degrees in both Oncopathology and Laboratory Medicine. She is currently rotating through Dr. Horseman’s lab. ![]() Heather Hale

wansapan@email.uc.eduArshani is originally from Sri Lanka, she obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Biological science from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and her Masters degree in Nutritional Science from University of Cincinnati. Arshani is working on her thesis research in Dr John Lorenz’s lab which focuses on cardiovascular and renal function in mutant mouse models. Currently she is studying the effects of Na-K ATPase ligands on cardiac function using mutant mice. Arshani enjoys music and plays the piano, harmonium, accordion and guitar. She also enjoys painting, nature walks and playing badminton. Her career aspirations are to teach at an undergraduate medical institution and play an active role in health policy planning and implementation. ![]() Elise Demitrack
demitres@email.uc.eduElise is a 2nd year graduate student from Cleveland, Ohio. She received her B.A. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the College of Wooster, Ohio. Currently, she is in Dr. Montrose's lab and working on a project that studies pH regulation in gastric damage and repair. In the future she aspires to work in the industry, possibly for a drug company. Her other interests include music, piano, and voice. ![]() Wendell Lu

He received a B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago, Illinois and a M.S. in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics from Vanderbilt University, Tennessee. His current research project is studying the role of lipid absorption in gastrointestinal hormone secretion. In the future he hopes to be able to do research in an academic setting. His other interests include drawing, painting, weight training, and stamp collecting. ![]() Aaron Marshall
marshaao@email.uc.eduAaron is a 2nd year graduate student. Originally from Tiffin, OH, he graduated high school in Camp Hill, PA. He received his B.S. in Molecular Biology (minored in Biochemistry) from Millersville University in Millersville, Pennsylvania. Aaron has chosen Dr. Horseman's lab as his own. "Our lab is focused on characterizing the role(s) serotonin has on mammary gland development and homeostasis. I am developing my project based on an aspect of this." Outside of school his interests include frisbee golf, college football, theater, golf, racquetball, and spending time with his better half (recently married). ![]() Sunil Nair
nairsl@email.uc.eduSunil is a 4th year graduate student from Maharashtra, India. He received his B.S. in Medicine and a B.S. in Surgery (MBBS), from the B.J. Medical College, University of Pune, India. Currently, he is researching delayed Cerebral Vasospasm after Subarachnoid hemorrhage (Role of PKC-a, PKCd and Rho in smooth muscle contraction). His only focus now is to successfully complete my Ph.D. in the appropriate time-period.
