FY 2017 Awards, Events, and Funding Opportunities

August

Team Science Research Award

RFA Released: August 8, 2016

This will be awarded to a team of faculty members who have successfully created and sustained a multidisciplinary research team that significantly contributes to the mission of the College.

Bridge Funding

Applications due: August 22, 2016

The Bridge Funding Program was established to provide short-term bridge- or “gap”- funding for productive CoM researchers who have had previous NIH funding, and who have remained active in research and in submitting grant applications, but who are now between funding cycles. Many faculty are not competitive for these funds due to the high bar set by the requirements.  The Office of Research may convert some of these funds to innovation awards to support productive research faculty during “gap” times.

*Rolling Deadline: Faculty may submit grants to be reviewed at any time during the year.  However, applications need to be submitted 60 days prior to the actual grant deadline to allow for a thoughtful review and time to respond to the suggestions by the reviewers. CoM Grant Pre-Review Program supports the refinement of scientific projects and grantsmanship of proposals from CoM faculty prior to official submission of a grant application to a funding agency with this mechanism.
