Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center
The radiology department at the Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, located on the second floor, provides the complete range of diagnostic imaging modalities.
Imaging Services include:
Basic 2-dimensional x-rays
Barium fluoroscopic exams, e.g. Upper GI (esophagus, stomach and duodenum), and Barium Enema (colon)
Computed Tomography (also known as “CT scan” or “CAT scan”)
Ultrasound
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Specialty Services:
Radioisotope studies are performed in the nuclear medicine department, which is also located on the second floor of the hospital .
Mammography and radiation therapy are performed at the UC Barrett Institute at University Hospital.
Some interventional radiology procedures are performed at Cincinnati VA while other are referred to University Hospital.
