  • Dr. Vagal is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Vagal graduated from Grant Medical College, Mumbai and completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Lokmanya Tilak Medical College and Hospital, Mumbai, India. Dr. Vagal is fellowship trained in Neuroradiology and Body Imaging, both fellowships completed at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Dr. Vagal is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by University of Mumbai and is also board certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Her clinical specialty is neuroradiology. Dr. Vagal has numerous presentations and peer reviewed publications to her credit. Dr. Vagal’s interests include CT perfusion in chronic steno-occlusive disease. She received a Summa Cum Laude award for a scientific paper: Utility of CT perfusion with acetazolamide challenge to assess cerebrovascular reserve in adult Moyamoya patients at the ARRS Annual meeting 2008. Her other research interests include advanced neuroimaging of brain tumors. She also has a very active role in radiology resident education and was recently nominated and selected to participate in Clinician Educator Development Program, American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) 2009 and Philips Faculty Development Program, Association of University Radiologists (AUR) 2009.
