Jannette Collins, MD, MEd, FCCP is the Ben Felson Professor and Chair of Radiology and Professor of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She received her M.D. degree at the Medical College of Ohio and completed radiology residency at the University of Wisconsin. This was followed by fellowships in thoracic imaging at Yale, medical education research through the Association of American Medical Colleges, radiology journalism through the American Roentgen Ray Society, and executive leadership in academic medicine sponsored by MCP Hahnemann University. Her academic areas of interest are thoracic imaging and medical education research, for which she has over 150 publications, including a major textbook (Chest Radiology: the Essentials, LWW, 2nd Ed.). She is the Editor-in-Chief of Seminars in Roentgenology and Associate or Deputy Editor for several other major journals. She is the President of the Society of Thoracic Radiology and Past President of the Association of University Radiologists and the Association of Program Directors in Radiology. She has received the Whitley Award for her medical education research on three occasions, the APDR Achievement Award and the RSNA Outstanding Educator Award.
