Academic Physiatrists
NEUROREHABILITATION
Clinical duties involve inpatient and outpatient services, including neurorehabilitation for stroke and traumatic brain injury, spasticity management, Baclofen pump trials, and therapeutic interventions maximizing the functional quality of life of patients at DrakeCenter, a free-standing long-term care and rehabilitation facility. Neurorehabilitation management will be closely coordinated with The University of Cincinnati Neuroscience Institute of Cincinnati and University Hospital, the only Level I trauma center in the area and nationally renowned for stroke and brain injury care.
Medical Director of Traumatic Brain Injury Services, Drake Center
Board-certified/board-qualified in PM&R with training in neurorehabilitation/brain injury (preferably fellowship). Key role in programmatic development.
Medical Director of Stroke Services, Drake Center
Board-certified/board-qualified in PM&R with experience in serving stroke patients. Key role in programmatic development.
Medical Director of Spinal Cord Injury Services, Drake Center
Board-certified/board-qualified in PM&R with training in spinal cord injury management. Key role in programmatic development.
Staff Physiatrist
Board-certified/board-eligible in PM&R with clinical interests in spasticity management, TBI, and stroke.
All positions participate in clinical, teaching, and research activities. Clinical activities are conducted through University Rehabilitation, Inc. (URI), a member of UC Physicians. These positions serve key roles in the teaching of medical students and residents and furthering academic excellence. Research and publication expectations are commensurate with appointment.
