MCP Welcomes Yana Zavros to the Faculty

As we begin the new year, MCP welcomes Yana Zavros, PhD, to our department as an assistant professor, and also welcome her husband John and their two children, Andreana and Maria, to the Cincinnati area.
 Originally trained in her homeland of Australia, Yana comes to us from her most recent position at the University of Michigan. There she developed a new research area exploring the cellular mechanisms activating sonic hedgehog: a tissue morphogen that is important in the development and maintenance of differentiated functions in the stomach [news]. Yana plans to continue this novel line of research in Cincinnati.
