Review Paper (Literature Research)
Course # 26-MCP-971
Project Director: Michael M Behbehani, PhD Tel (513)558-3036
The literature review is the capstone experience in the program. Students must write a comprehensive literature review to graduate from the program. Topics are selected based on the studentŐs interest in conjunction with topics suggested by faculty members of the department and others associated with the program [view program faculty (pdf)]. The faculty member selected by a student to oversee their project is designated as the Faculty Mentor. The review is written during the first session of the summer quarter (ending mid-July) and is extensively reviewed by the mentor, and revised by the student, to assure scientific rigor and completeness. The goal is to write a review that is of adequate quality to be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal (this will further boost the career of the student). The final manuscript is reviewed by a committee comprising the Faculty Mentor, the Project Director, and the MS Program Director, and a grade for the summer session credits is assigned based on votes from all three members.
