Upon graduation from Texas A&M University and two years of cancer research at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Dr. Richards entered medical school at Texas Tech University.  After graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha Honors from medical school in 1992, he began his four years of residency training in general Obstetrics and Gynecology at Scott and White Hospital. After completing residency, Dr. Richards completed his three years of fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology from the University of Kentucky. Prior to his recruitment and hiring by the University of Cincinnati as director of Womens Cancer, Dr. Richards was a founding partner of a very successful combined private and university practice in Lubbock, Texas. There, he provided services in gynecologic oncology and advanced reconstructive pelvic surgery and was an Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.  He and his staff look forward to providing these same services to the women of the greater Cincinnati area. Dr. Richards is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both Gynecologic Oncology and general OB/GYN. He and his wife Susan and their three teenage daughters Sarah, Emily, and Madeline live in Mariemont and are very excited about their recent move to Ohio.
