Education and Training: Recent Publications: Scholarly Interests: Dr. Clarks laboratory conducts basic research on the mechanism of estrogen induced increases in uterine and coronary blood flow. They have isolated and cloned ovine estrogen receptor alpha and beta, ovine iNOS and ovine eNOS as well as ovine leptin. The second area of research focus has been the role that endothelin plays in regulating uterine and systemic vascular tone and it's potential role in preeclampsia. Finally, Dr. Clark has spent many years studying the effects of reduced uterine blood flow on fetal growth and resultant adaptation of the growth restricted fetus. Fetal Cardiopulmonary Bypass: Dr. Clark is also involved with development of techniques at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to repair fetal hearts during pregnancy. http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/research/div/cardiothoracic/eghtesady Program Director for the Interdisciplinary
