At the end of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Give an overview of the history of endometrial ablation technologies.
  2. Discuss the causes of abnormal uterine bleeding.
  3. Compare FDA clinical studies of endometrial ablation technologies.

The Christ Hospital Committee for Continuing Medical Education designated this educational activity for a maximum of 1 hour category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award.   Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.

  1. Apply the concept of primary, secondary & tertiary care to obstetrical care for PTB
  2. Recognize and assess risk of recurrent PTB
  3. Select candidates for 17 alpha OH-progesterone caproate prophylaxis
  4. Select candidates for cervical cerclage
