ANNUAL CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIP Midwest Chapter MLA Conference Cincinnati, Ohio        September 22-26, 2000 Enter the Future - Press Any Key

Once again, the Midwest Chapter of the Medical Library Association will be offering a scholarship to the annual meeting.  A stipend of up to $500 will be available to either a library school student or recent graduate to attend the conference, “Enter the Future-Press Any Key”, in Cincinnati, Ohio from September 22-26, 2000 at the Omni Netherland Plaza.

Selection Criteria

1.     Applicants must be either students or recent graduates of ALA accredited Master’s programs and must be residents of or attending school in North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, or Kentucky or Midwest Chapter members who have never attended an annual conference.

 2.     Applicants will be judged on the basis of academic achievement, interest in health sciences librarianship and potential success in the field.  Applicants forms will be accompanied by a resume, academic transcripts, a letter of reference, and a cover letter explaining why the applicant is interested in health sciences librarianship, and what he or she expects to gain from attending the Conference.
