While those of us in Cincinnati planning the Year
2000 meeting have no crystal ball to predict the future, we are doing our
best to plan an interesting, intellectually challenging, and fun meeting.
Make your plans now to come to Cincinnati, September 22-26. You will
be dazzled by the Art Deco décor of the Omni Netherland Plaza Hotel
and entertained by a cruise down the scenic Ohio River on a paddle wheel
boat, while feasting on a delicious dinner and enjoying lively music.
We have built in time so that you can shop at Sak's or Tiffany's, and you
can enjoy cuisine as diverse as the famous five-way "Cincinnati Chili"
or the five-star rated Maisonette.
The preliminary program is shaping up with:
-
Laura Pulfer Cincinnati Enquirer columnist,
who will entertain us with "Having the Last Laugh."
-
Dr. James LaValle who will speak on the "Re-Emergence
of Natural Medicine: Back to the Future."
-
Dr. George Manning, Northern Kentucky University,
who will be instrumental in helping us adjust to the changes in our lives
and work places.
-
A panel discussion with selected speakers who will
assist us as we wade through the "Age of Electronic Resources."
-
Dr. Charles Friedman, University of Pittsburgh,
who will discuss "The Future of Medical Informatics as it Relates to the
Library and its Users."
You can count on a few surprises too. Why not
start the new millennium with your colleagues in Cincinnati? We look
forward to introducing you to the "Queen City" in September 2000!
