Course Objectives

The clerkship is an 8-week rotation consisting of inpatient and outpatient experiences. Our goal is to help you make the transition from a basic science student to a member of the health care team.

Internal medicine encompasses a vast body of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. It is impossible to master the content of medicine during a brief introductory rotation. A more effective use of your time and resources will be to gain proficiency in a core set of internal medicine objectives that will serve as a foundation on which to build your training.
