The faculty maintain this level of quality by assessing the effectiveness of their educational programs and by participating in medical education research projects. The Director of the Office of Evaluation and Research within the Office of Medical Education works collaboratively with faculty to develop and conduct medical education research projects. The findings from these projects are typically presented at conferences and/or published in the literature and are intended to benefit the UCCOM program as well as the field of medical education in general. In an effort to stimulated continued interest in medical education research, The Office of Evaluation and Research has implemented a small seed grant program designed to fund small medical education research projects.
