We have two weekly conferences that are Med-Peds specific.

1. Med-Peds noon conference - every Tuesday 12-1PM – This is attended by most of our residents and faculty and is a great way for us to connect as a Med-Peds family. We cover a range of clinical, education, DEI, QI, health policy, and population health topics that are chosen by our residents and Med-Peds faculty. As a resident it is also the perfect environment to hone your presentation skills. 
2. Weekly pre-clinic conference – Our Med-Peds program leadership has refined this longitudinal curriculum over time to provide robust learning on topics germane to outpatient practice. These are interactive, resident-led discussions based on specifically-chosen journal articles and PowerPoints.

1. Academic Half Day – every Thursday 1-3:30PM - interns are members of team-based learning groups. AHD has become one of the flagship learning experiences at UC.
2. IM noon report – every day 12-1PM – this conference is led by our amazing chief residents, who use evidence-based learning strategies and interactive discussions to engage our learners.
3. Morbidity, Mortality, and Improvement – we link our M+M conferences to improvement efforts. This monthly conference is run by the chief residents
4. Medicine Grand Rounds – Every Wednesday, hear from experts and leaders from around the institution, and from guest outside speakers
5. Finding Meaning in Medicine – a weekly meeting to connect, reflect, and explore different experiences that healthcare providers have in depth within a supportive group
6. Other conferences include journal clubs, the Medical Education Pathway, Community Health and Advocacy Pathway, and many other learning opportunities.

1. Morning report – every day from 7:30-8AM – 30 minutes of focused learning with coffee and assorted breakfast foods to get you ready for rounds.
2. Noon report – every day from 12-1PM – A variety of topics and presenters take you through a longitudinal curriculum that covers all aspects of Pediatrics.
3. Morbidity and Mortality – learn to approach an error or failure through a systems lens in this safe, collaborative conference.
4. FIRMS – a favorite conference of the Pediatric residents, this monthly conference allows residents to work in teams with faculty members to solve a challenging case, step-by-step.
5. Pediatric Grand Rounds – every Tuesday, learn from nationally-recognized experts from a variety of specialties.
6. Farrell rounds – all of our residents give an evidence-based chairman’s rounds presentation on a topic of their choice.
7. Other conferences include journal clubs, the Global Health Pathway, an evidence-based medicine series, Schwartz Center Rounds, a high-value care curriculum, and many other learning opportunities.
