Psoriasis is a chronic and sometimes lifelong inflammatory condition of the skin and joints that has multiple treatment options. The Comprehensive Psoriasis Treatment Program is the first of its kind in the Tri-state area. The program incorporates the strengths of a psoriasis clinic, phototherapy center, clinical research trials, and patient education symposia.
Specializing in psoriasis patient care, the Psoriasis Clinic accepts consultations from area and regional physicians as well as self-referrals, for the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis. As a specialist in psoriasis Dr. Sheth offers multiple therapeutic options for the management of psoriasis. Traditional and newer oral and "biologic" parenteral (subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous injection) therapies are available as medically indicated. Ultraviolet light therapies including broad and narrow-band UVB and topical and oral PUVA are available at the Phototherapy Center to complement the therapies available. Finally, investigational therapies in psoriasis are offered through the Dermatology Clinical Research Center for mild, moderate and severe psoriasis throughout the year.
Further education on psoriasis is made available through free lectures and symposia directed to patients, families and the public throughout the city.
Patient appointments in the Psoriasis Clinic can be made at 513-936-4560. Persons interested in participating in investigational drugs for psoriasis can call the research center at 513-475-7575. For information on educational symposia please call 513-558-6242.
