Department of Dermatology Community Education Programs
There are a variety of community education programs available through the Department of Dermatology. Community dermatologists actively participate in weekly Dermatology Grand Rounds patient presentation meetings and lectures. Departmental faculty speak at community events, as well as to community groups and patient support groups, on pertinent dermatological topics. Faculty also present relevant dermatological information to the community via television, radio, and print media. Departmental faculty may lecture on appropriate topics to elementary school children and childrens' groups. Departmental faculty also participate annually in free skin cancer screening clinics.
