PATIENT DATABASE
The University of
Cincinnati Medical Center is part of the Health Alliance of Cincinnati. The greater Cincinnati area has a population of
about 2 million. The Department of
Dermatology has out-patient and in-patient facilities at the University Hospital Medial
Center, Children's Hospital Medical Center, the Veteran's Administration Hospital and
Holmes Hospital, all of which are part of the University complex and adjacent to each
other. Satellite facilities have also been
established in neighboring counties. We
currently see over 50,000 patients per year at these various locations. Patients are referred from the various practice
settings as well as from private physicians within the community to participate in
clinical trials. We also have an extensive
database of patients who have participated with us in previous clinical trials.
We take great pride in
our ability to conduct clinical trials professionally, while meeting enrollment goals and
time lines, monitoring strict protocol adherence and following good clinical practices.
We value our patients and treat them as individuals which assists us in maintaining
high patient compliance and a very low early discontinuation rate.
