Robert W. Keith is Professor and Director, Division of Audiology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. A graduate of the University of Iowa, he was an NIH Fogerty International Fellow from 1975-76. He is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology, and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. He is also a Fellow of ASHA. His accomplishments include serving as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Ear and Hearing from 1985 to 1993. He currently serves as consultant to several audiology journals. He has been a member of the board of the American Academy of Audiology from the time of its organization in 1988 to 1996. He served as president of AAA from1994 to 1995. In 1999 he was elected to the American Board of Audiology where he serves as chair.

Dr. Keith edited two books and has more than 20 book chapters and 40 articles published in refereed journals on the subject of auditory processing disorders. Dr. Keith is the author of SCAN: Screening Test for Auditory Processing Disorders in Children, SCAN-A Test of Auditory Processing Disorders in Adolescents and Adults, the Auditory Continuous Performance Test, and the Random Gap Detection Test. He is co-author of the Auditory Fusion Test-Revised, along with Robert McCroskey. Finally, he is the author of Scanware-C and Scanware-A computer programs for the analysis and interpretation of SCAN-C and SCAN-A. He is frequently invited, both nationally and internationally, to speak on the subject of auditory processing disorders.
