Census of Religious Congregations in the Cincinnati Area, 2008

In the winter/spring of 2008, the Institute will be conducting a phone census of religious congregations in the Cincinnati area.  The purpose of the census is to collect information about currently active congregations – their theological orientation, location, contact information, and services and programs that they offer.  The information will be compiled into an on-line resource book to help people in the community in their search for specific religious groups, programs, or services.

Congregations located in seven Ohio/Kentucky counties (Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, Warren, Boone, Campbell, and Kenton) will be included in the census.

We would like to thank congregations and their representatives for taking the time to respond to our phone survey.  We anticipate publishing the information on this Web site by the summer of 2008.

The census is part of a larger study funded by the National Institutes of Health.

If you have any questions about the Census of Religious Congregations in the Cincinnati Area, please contact Dr. Magda Szaflarski (magdalena.szaflarski@uc.edu, phone# 513-558-9533) or Dr. Joel Tsevat (joel.tsevat@uc.edu, phone# 513-558-7532).
