At the Institute, Rob Witzke holds the rank of Research Associate and serves as the Network Administrator. He brings to this position the credentials of a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), and a Certified Help Desk Manager (CHDM). Rob is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he was responsible for computer maintenance on Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) and the related mission simulators and secure communication systems. Rob has studied at the University of Maryland Heidelberg Campus (Germany), Baker College (Michigan), Rose State College (Oklahoma), Thomas More College, Northern Kentucky University, and the Community College of the Air Force. In more than twenty years of experience, Rob has worked in computer sales, programming, systems analysis, teaching, and network administration in automotive, mental health, and library applications.
Since joining the Institute, Rob has focused on upgrading the network software and hardware to support large clinical databases and to facilitate statistical research {151} primarily using Windows 2003 Server, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and Microsoft Office.
