The Center for Clinical Effectiveness
This center is dedicated to improving health outcomes through identification — and incorporation into the clinical setting — of preferred healthcare practices and approaches to medical decision-making. Current areas of special emphasis are obesity, sepsis, and decision support in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Research and clinical practice activities of the Center bring together investigators from a broad range of disciplines and departments.

The Center holds a biweekly multidisciplinary Outcomes Research Conference, which is a seminar for persons interested in conducting outcomes research. Please check the list of upcoming Outcomes Research Conferences.

The GIM/Outcomes Research Fellowship Program at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center is a two or three-year fellowship designed for trainees in general internal medicine or medical subspecialties who plan to pursue a career in academics as a clinician-researcher.
